The box contents contain the Wise POS terminal and a USB power cord. The box does not contain a USB charger.Charging the terminal
You will need a USB charger to charge the terminal. The power end of the cord plugs into the terminal and the USB end plugs into the USB charger block. Then the USB charger block can be plugged into a wall outlet. The USB charging cord is not meant to be plugged into a computer or any other USB charging device. Please charge the terminal with a direct wall outlet.
There are two connection points on the terminal that look similar. Only one of them is a power connection point. The other is a headphones connection point. Please be sure to plug the power cord into the right-hand side into the connection point indicated with a lightning bolt.
Setting up and updating the terminal
Once the terminal is charged, use the power button on the right-hand side of the terminal to power it on. The terminal will cycle through a boot up screen until it lands on the first set up screen. Select a language at the first set up screen. Select a country on the second screen. On the last and third screen, select your WiFi network and enter the network password to connect to the internet.
If the terminal indicates that there are updates, be sure to confirm to run and install any updates to the terminal.
Powering down and restarting the terminal
The terminal will automatically sleep when there is a lack of activity on the terminal. You can also power it down manually when needed. Press and hold the power button on the right-hand side of the terminal to display the power down and restart options.
Use the power down option to shut down the terminal.
Use the restart option to restart and reboot the terminal. This may be necessary to perform if the terminal is struggling to accept a card or is nonresponsive.
