Overview
Mission Control is the area used to evaluate the completion of job milestones. This area can be used to locate all jobs or a specific salesperson's jobs. This area can also be used to create specific found sets of jobs based on job milestone statuses.
Viewing Mission Control
Navigate to the Orders / Sales area. Locate the button at the top of a job that displays a rocket ship. Click the rocket ship button to open the Mission Control screen.
The Mission Control Screen displays all open jobs for the user logged into the management system. This screen indicates which job milestones are completed (blue), in progress (yellow), and not completed (grey).
Action Buttons
These action buttons are available:
Return - this will return to the record view of the job.
Show All - this will reset the user's found set to all open jobs by all users.
Export - this will offer 3 choices for exporting the mission control data.
Filters - this offers a secondary screen to filter by specific job milestone statuses to create found sets of jobs.
Refresh Statuses - this refreshes the statuses of the jobs in the list.
Exporting Mission Control Data
There are 3 export options: Export, Export Mission Control and Export 2. Each one exports a different set of column headers. See below:
Export
Export Mission Control
Export 2
Each export can be used for different needs. The Export Mission Control option is the full export of the job milestones completed statuses.
Filtering Mission Control
Mission Control can be a powerful search tool for creating sets of data. Apply a filter to group jobs together based on the status of job milestones. For example, to locate a set of jobs ready to be billed where material has been completed and installation has been completed, a user could use a filter to locate these jobs.
Click the Filters button at the top of the Mission Control screen to open the filter screen.
The legend at the top displays the status of the light and the colors that indicate whether that step is complete (blue), in progress (yellow), incomplete (dark grey), and unselected/no preference (light grey). When the buttons for these statuses are clicked, they change color according to the legend colors. Click the Apply Filter button at the bottom of the screen to apply this filter criteria and list the jobs that meet this selection. |
Load a Month-End Filter
The system has pre-set filters for month end preparation. These relate to the historical "super 4 reports" that were used for month-end preparation in the past.
Open a new Mission Control session with no other filters in place (the Applied Filters area will be blank). Click into the Load Month-End Filter field and select a month-end filter. Use the Apply Filter button to apply this filter to all open jobs. |
Save a Favorite Filter
Users can save filters that they use often. Once you have applied your selected filter, enter a name in the Save Current Filter field and click the Save button. You'll know your filter is applied and in use when it displays in the applied filters area.
For example, this filter will find all jobs that have been fully scheduled for installation, and yet the materials are only partially ordered. Select these button indicators and apply the filter.
See the applied filter description in the Applied Filters area. I then enter a name for my filter and click the save button.
Confirm that the filter is saved.
| The saved filter now shows in the list of saved filters in the Load a Saved User Filter list. This can be applied when needed at any time. |
Delete a Saved Filter
Saved filters can be deleted by the user who created them. All filters are user-specific and only show up for that particular user.
Load a saved filter. This will apply the filter and you can see the filter applied in the Applied Filters space.
Click the trash can icon to delete the saved filter. |
