Pacific Solutions Hosting: FileMaker Server Admin Console

FileMaker Admin Console

This document walks you through accessing the FileMaker Admin Console. You can use the console to:

  1. change the FileMaker idle time-out time and
  2. for disconnecting users from FileMaker.
Disconnecting users is necessary in some cases when logging into JobRunner/FloorManager and the user is presented with the message:

Message: This will exceed the maximum number of users allowed. Contact Pacific Solutions to increase the number of allowed users.

A Pacific Solutions team member can disconnect idle users but so can a company's JobRunner/FloorManager ERP administrator. A person is a JobRunner/FloorManager ERP administrator if they are listed on the company's Security Protocol Form on file.

Changing the idle time out length gives you the ability to shorten or lengthen the amount of time the FileMaker database will remain open until it performs an automatic shutdown.

Setup Process

  1. Be sure to be listed on your company's Security Protocol Form (please contact pacificsolutions-support@cyncly.com if this form needs to be updated).
  2. Be sure you have access to the FileMaker Admin Console (shortcut) on the server (please contact pacificsolutions-support@cyncly.com if this shortcut is missing from your hosted server desktop).
