System enhancements and new features are
ongoing with your Pacific Solutions’ management systems. It is important
to establish
an internal education administrator who can constantly stay current on release information and
conduct internal education on system enhancements when necessary.
For a successful system update, we suggest your internal education administrator follow these steps before updating your management system:
-
Read through the release notes and
highlight significant changes that might affect your day-to-day
workflow.
-
Depending on how many update cycles you are
updating through, be sure to review all of the release notes since your previous
version.
-
Watch all available videos to learn the design
and intent of each system enhancement and feature.
-
Schedule time with department heads to discuss
any enhancements/changes that directly affect their day-to-day processes.
Departments can then adjust any internal documentation for staff.
-
Be sure to follow all instructions provided by
Pacific Solutions before performing any update on your management system. Once
the update is complete, *Review the Personnel Access Levels in Admin* for new

- You can now back into the total payment amount by selecting invoices in the customer payment area. When taking a new customer payment, simply select the invoices to pay first and the system will add the selections as you make them to the total payment amount in the Payment Amount field. This is helpful to reconcile the paid invoices to the payment total. You may also process in the previous manner.

- Vendor bills has an additional Misc section of tabs that includes an activity log. This activity log displays actions and the person that executed the action.
- JobRunner Only: Find for all accepted and not approved change orders in the orders file. The find screen has a new find checkbox in the middle of the search screen to locate all change orders with a status of accepted but not approved (for billing). This search checkbox can be combined with other search fields. This list can then be exported with the export button option for "CO Accepted, not approved".
- JobRunner Only: An additional unlock project control was added to allow people to modify material and labor descriptions after unlocking a job.
- Personnel restrictions have been added to keep people from ordering POs. individuals can be set to view the POs but not mark them ordered.

In progress jobs will finish out on the previous tax report and new jobs will automatically migrate over to the new report once activated. Please see this help center article for the new report: Sales and Use Tax Liability Report 2024. It is important to review and familiarize yourself with the new report and how to navigate taxes with both reports during transition.

- Payment integration: Cyncly Pay is now in live beta. Coming soon to all clients.
-
A new required GL account will be automatically added during this update. The account 7.7.7.7 Merchant Fee Suspense is the new current asset ledger account. This account is in preparation for Cyncly Pay integration and will not be used by the system in any other function. Please remember to refrain from making any postings to this account manually.

Miscellaneous tweaks and fixes in v23b8.2

- Corrected an AP restriction on stock material purchase orders that sometimes would validate delivery and posting dates for some clients.
- Addressed an issue a few clients had when auto locking non rev rec jobs. There is better distinction in personnel settings to which locked job exceptions work on which types of jobs.
- Addressed the issue of Todo's not linking to the customer record in the dashboard when the activity was created at the customer record. System will prompt when the Todo is orphaned.
- Enhanced the SY and LF calculations in the Warehouse Mangement Mobile module that a few clients were experiencing with certain products.
- Addressed a workflow redundancy in Warehouse Management when using FileMaker Go during bin number entry and using the camera.
- Addressed a label nuance in some systems when printing a job 4x6 label from the Warehouse Mangement Mobile module.
- Corrected an infrequent budget adjustment issue in legacy versions of JobRunner.
- Addressed unlocked job allowance for re-look up of labor costs to change the budget in JobRunner. When users have the ability to "allow rev rec job labor line lookups", the reselection of an established labor type/description will override the existing budget on a job and replace it with the looked-up cost/budget for the labor. Note: this allowance is not recommended as it produces unwarranted changes historically to your WIP report.
- Addressed an issue with refreshing the inventory as of a date on the inventory analysis report that a few clients were experiencing.
- B2B for Beaulieu has had enhancements for optimizing import.
- Corrected an issue in Warehouse Management Mobile module where some users were experiencing missing barcodes on bin labels through web direct connections.
- Speed improvements were made between product catalog and proposals.
- Spec-ID improvements were made between imported lines, system product catalog links, width/length entries and unexpected merging style information.
- Improvements were made to the purchases by fiber report.
- Corrected an issue where jobmail may not copy when selected to copy in the copy quote process.
- Improved a salesperson restriction when navigating from the customer sales history tab to the sales file. System will adhere to restriction to restrict salesperson to viewing their own sales records.
- Customer and Contact list view column sorts were enhanced to adhere to ascending and descending parameters.
This section is currently in progress. Please excuse our dust while we build out the next patch list.
The highlighted items are changes we believe could potentially affect your day-to-day procedures.
