Languages Feature in Admin

Overview

The management system has a feature called Languages that gives the user the ability to modify field label names upon printing of a document. While many of these language changes might be visible on the screen, the intention of the feature is to allow additional printing options.

Setup

The Languages setup area is located in Admin under the Languages button:

Enter the Languages area and click the blue down arrow under the New column to create a new language template:

Type in the name of the Languages template; this example is called “Sales as Invoice” (to print a Sales Order as an “Invoice” without creating an AR invoice):

Once the template name has been established, click the blue “i” button to enter the Language Setup screen. At the Languages Setup screen, locate the tab that needs to be modified when printing. For our example “Sales as Invoice”, we would only focus on the “Sales” tab because we only want to have the option when printing from a sales order and not from quotes or POs, etc.:

Enter field labels for EVERY empty field. Any field left empty will print a blank when the print options is selected. In the example above, only the “Sales Agreement” title needs to be different than the default. “Invoice” was entered in place of the default description “Sales Agreement”. That way, when this template is selected for printing at the sales order, the sales order will say “Invoice” at the top of the document.

Using Languages in Printing

When printing the document, use the print button and then on the print options screen, select the language at the bottom (1). Then select a print option (2).

The printed document will print the field labels based on the entered data at the Languages template:
