Overview
The Referred By / Member Feature can help to track referrals
by individual clients. This feature is mostly used to tack referrals from
designers and builders. The referring client becomes the member and their
referred clients become guests. A client can be either a member OR a guest,
they cannot be both.
Identifying Members
Identify the referring client by clicking on the Member checkbox located on the Accounting Tab at the customers detail screen.
Identifying Guests
When this client refers a new client, create a new
client record in the customers/contacts file. Assign the referring client as a
member to the newly created customer/contact record. The little arrow button
next to the Referred Name will take you directly to the Member record.
Members' Guests Tracking
This identifies the new client as a “guest” of the
referring client. The referring client now shows the new client as a guest on
their Guest Tab at the customers detail screen.
A report in the Reports area will show the sales by
members referred. Select this report from the sales reports options by clicking
on the “Sales BY Member Ref (Written). This report does not currently (as of this
writing) have an invoiced sales report. The report shows the cumulative sales
per member.
