Commission Types Explanations

The following is a list of commission types with definitions.

 

Total Profit:                     

                Commissions are paid based on the profit for the entire job.

 

Material Only:        

                Commissions are paid based on the profit for materials only.

 

Total Sale:                      

                  Commissions are paid on the grand total regardless of profit.

 

Commission Floor:       

              Commissions are paid on the sell amount of the Total Sale or Materials Only, based on the floor percentage. If a commission floor is established a salesperson is guaranteed a commission of at least the floor if the normal commission payout drops below the floor.


If a salesperson’s commission type is set up as Total Sale and the job has a retail of $0.00, it will not show up.


** Note: This commission type will be deprecated and will be removed in a future release

Break Even GPM:         

Commissions are paid based on the profit for the entire job.                                                 

                                    Examples:

                                             25% gmp = 2% commission

                                             35% gmp = 3% commission

                               Negative mirror

                                             -25% gmp = -2% commission

                                             -35% gmp = -3% commission
