Manually at the Specific Record
This is useful when you're needing to put specific products or specific colors of a product on sale.
Navigate to the Product Catalog and perform a "find" for the product to be put on sale.
If multiple options appear, use the magnifying glass to the left of the line to open the specific record to be modified.
1) Select the Sale tab.
2) Mark the edit box to the right of the items that are being put on sale
2A) If the whole line is going on sale, mark the top box and use the fill down arrow to the right. There will be a message confirming that the modification of all the colors in the style.
3) Set the sale start and end dates and select set
4) Set EITHER the Markdown Percentage (in decimal form) or the Specific Sell price and select Set. If the drop down list in the markdown field does not contain the specific percentage for the discount value, double click inside the field and hand key the decimal value.)
The products selected will now be on sale during the dates selected.
Using Revise
Revise is a quick way to set full lines of many styles on sale.
Be very cautious with this process as there is no "undo".
Begin by performing a find for the group of products to be put on sale. (Remember this is for the FULL style all colors included.)
Select the magnifying glass to the left of any line.
1) Select the entry tab
2) Select the revise button in the action toolbar. Select Use Current in the pop-up box if a found set of products has been isolated.
3) Enter the sale information in the sale fields of the revise form. (Again, it's either a sell price (the same for all items) or a discount percentage)
4) Select Update
The products selected will now be on sale during the dates selected.
