Common Causes of Systems Going Down


      1. Power Outage

                  

      2. IP Address Change

                  
      

      3. Space is full on the C-Drive. (Not a Good Message) 
            This can cause the system to freeze, slow down, and/or crash.

               
                                        
                     

                                               

      4.  Windows Update on Server-This can cause the FileMaker Server to stop.


      5. Server Reboot-It can take up to 20 minutes for the server to come back up.  The server 
            must open all individual files.  An error message can pop up if the below message does 
            appear, the server is not fully online.

                                    


Steps to Take When an Error Message Appears


            1. Reboot/Restart the server.  This process will take up to 20 minutes to complete.

            2. Try launching JobRunner/FloorManager and see if you have any error messages.

      A.   If you experienced a power outage, email Support at Support@pacific-solutions.com after you started the server reboot process.  The tech will check to see if any files were damaged.

            1)     If a file becomes damaged, the tech will have to recover it.  There is a recovery fee of $150 per hour of work to bring                                     back missing data.

      B.  If yes, email Support at Support@pacific-solutions.com and send screenshots of the error messages you are receiving.

      C.    If no, check recent entries to make sure no data is missing.
