JobRunner Making a Contract Adjustment

Overview

To preserve the integrity of job audits and the WIP report, Pacific Solutions has made significant yet necessary changes to the way budgets and contracts are adjusted in the next release of JobRunner. Our goal is always to balance real-world needs with software that is adaptable to our ever-changing industry while maintaining financial integrity and easily trackable audit trails.
There are times when a correction needs to be made to the project contract. In this scenario, JobRunner can accommodate these adjustments with the Contract Adjustment functionality. If you are unsure about the financial implications of making a contract adjustment, please contact your Flooring Financial representative or your CPA.

Making an Adjustment to the Contract

Adjustments can be made to increase or decrease the overall contract. Contract adjustments add or reduce the contract total (sell price) in the projects. Contract adjustments can be made on the main contract and chargeable change orders. Contract adjustments cannot be made on no-charge change orders (these are to remain at zero sell).
Contract adjustments are displayed on the AIA form in JobRunner (if using entry lines) and they print to the client if printing an itemized job.
The ability to make a contract adjustment is controlled per user in the personnel access area.

To make a contract adjustment in the current fiscal period, make a change order and then make the contract adjustment on that change order. The contract adjustment will be posted with the date that is on the job (main contract or change order). This gives flexibility to post the adjustment in the correct open fiscal period within the project.
