JobRunner Making a Budget Adjustment

Overview

To preserve the integrity of job audits and the WIP report, Pacific Solutions has made significant yet necessary changes to the way budgets and contracts are adjusted in the next release of JobRunner. Our goal is always to balance real-world needs with software that is adaptable to our ever-changing industry while maintaining financial integrity and easily trackable audit trails.
There are times when a correction needs to be made to the project budget. In this scenario, JobRunner can accommodate these adjustments with the Budget Adjustment functionality. If you are unsure about the financial implications of making a budget adjustment, please contact your Flooring Financial representative or your own CPA.

Making an Adjustment to the Budget

Adjustments can be made to increase or decrease the overall budget. Budget adjustments add to or reduce the budget costs in the projects. Budget adjustments can be made on the main contract and change orders.
Budget adjustments do not display in any AIA form in JobRunner and they do not print to the client.
The ability to make a budget adjustment is password protected per user in the personnel access area.

To make a budget adjustment in the current fiscal period, make a no charge change order and then make the budget adjustment on the no charge change order. The budget adjustment will be posted with the date that is on the job (main contract or change order). This gives flexibility to post the adjustment in the correct open fiscal period within the project.
