Print Check Alignment

Overview

When printing checks for the first time, or perhaps you just bought a new printer and need to realign for printing checks,
there is an easy way to adjust the layout of the character placement.

Check Alignment Instructions

Go to Navigator > Bank Account > and select the desired account.
On the AP Payment Transactions screen, click the Alignment button at the top.  (It does not matter which payment record you are on.)

Use the Print Alignment arrows to move your character placement vertically or horizontally.
NOTE:  these increments are very small, so work in groups of 10 until you get closer to the ideal print layout, and then tweak in smaller increments.
Once set, this setting should not need to change unless you get a new printer, printer driver, or check forms.

HINT: so that you don't waste a ton of real checks while you fine-tune your print alignment:  print on plain paper, lay over the real check form, and hold up to the light to see if you are in alignment yet.  Once it looks good, print one real check to test it out.
